Mau P announced for Hong Kong event series, UNDER THE KT-BRIDGE

Mau P foi anunciado para se apresentar em Hong Kong pela primeira vez, como principal atração do próximo evento da série UNDER THE KT-BRIDGE 3. 0, promovido pelos promotores locais People or Vibes (POV).

O DJ e produtor nascido em Amsterdã — nome real Maurits Jan Westveen — pousará no local ao ar livre Aquabeat 03, no animado distrito de Kwun Tong, em Hong Kong, para tocar um set estendido 2.

A série UNDER THE KT-BRIDGE 3. 0 começou no início do ano com conjuntos de destaque de Eli Brown e Omnya. Agents of Time, Son of Son e P. O. U. então participaram da segunda edição do UNDER THE KT-BRIDGE em abril.

POV — cujo terceiro evento em junho, KINETIC, viu ARTBAT e Rebūke assumir o novo local Kai Tak Cruise Terminal durante o feriado público do Festival Tuen Ng — tem organizado festas em espaços não tradicionais em Hong Kong.

O histórico Terminal de Cruzeiros Kai Tak oferece aos hóspedes uma vista panorâmica de 180 graus do cintilante Porto Victoria de Hong Kong. Fundado por Marcus Lam — cofundador do aclamado Boomerang Club de Hong Kong ao lado de Wilson Liu — o POV já recebeu pesos pesados globais como Timmy Trumpet, Afrojack e Chris Avantgarde.

POV is said to be inspired by the legacy of European and US rave culture, and its resourceful skill for finding unusual party spots, in particular Brooklyn venue Under the ‘K’ Bridge Park, from which the promoters takes its name.

POV's aim is to "elevate and promote dance music culture in Hong Kong", and Lam says they are always scouting for “unconventional” locations like carparks. POV is currently negotiating access to several “government-owned venues” for upcoming events, as well as nurturing its education platform CBB, which will make an appearance at Tomorrowland Shanghai in October.

POV said it is “extremely honoured” to be hosting Mau P in Hong Kong for his debut performance there. “This is not only our largest and highest-spec production since POV's inception, but also a major milestone in our mission to bring world-class electronic music experiences to Hong Kong," it shared in a press release.

POV também está prestes a sediar uma residência com o Ministry of Sound de Londres. A parceria promete programação de artistas selecionados no local icônico, acompanhada de uma turnê mais ampla pela Ásia, passando por Taiwan, Shenzhen, Hong Kong e Xangai.

Meanwhile, Mau P has been busy playing a number of international shows this year, including performances at Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, EDC, Lollapalooza, Parklife, Sonus Festival and more.

He also returned to Pacha Ibiza for his second BADDEST BEHAVIOUR residency as well as continuing with his ongoing residency at XS Las Vegas.

The Dutch star broke out in 2022 with his hit, ‘Drugs From Amsterdam’, which has since been streamed more than 260 million times on Spotify, and subsequently notched up remixes from Swedish House Mafia, Armand van Helden and Calvin Harris.

He first entered the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll in 2024, and that same year launched BADDEST BEHAVIOUR. Other talked-about tracks from Mau P include ‘BEATS FOR THE UNDERGROUND', which features his own vocals, and 'Metro' with Kevin De Vries.

Mau P, who ranked No. 77 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll in 2025, recently dropped a new single, ‘Just a Little Bit More’ and has promised more new music is on the way.
